ON LANGUAGE TEACHING BHOTI in Ladakh

Background

The successful introduction of standard both parties focus on Bhoti language teaching in India's portion of Ladakh Himalayas has been an open forum for intellectual debate among various scholars of different ideas and approaches to language teaching. In total, there are two different schools of thought.

The following is my opinion neutral in the controversy over the application appropriate teaching method of language Bhoti in Ladakh.

The chaos of ideas

As discussed in the background note, there are two different schools of thought. One school of thought supports the idea of Bhoti language teaching in its "original form" with its grammatical rules and standardized applications. The arguments of some of the key being presented by this panel are:

– The language is created Bod-Yik/Bhoti for the seventh-century Tibetan scholar Sambhota Thonmi minister thought the only good system of grammatical rules. Therefore, any changes made from the degradation of this particular language and on, learning to do Bhoti Bod-Yik in original form.

– The essence of our culture and tradition in the rich text Buddhist philosophical treatises. This wealth of knowledge and wisdom that is written and translated in its original form with classic Bod-Yik Tibetan grammar. Therefore the understanding of these texts is impossible without knowledge of Bod-Yik / Bhoti language in its original form.

The other school of thought advocate Bhoti language teaching based on the dialect of Ladakh, without focusing on both the standard normative grammar Bod-Yik (Tibetan / Bhoti Language). Khenpo (abbot) Konchok Phendey is famous proponent of this school of thought. He had written an article academic, 25 pages on the subject. Following is the brief summary of your academic essay entitled: Clarification on misunderstanding of the dialect and Bod-Yik grammar (Bhoti) in Ladakh.

– Khenpo Konchok advocates Bhoti language teaching based on Ladakh dialect instead of focusing so much on strict grammatical rules of language. He stressed the importance on the appearance of the vernacular citing "Grammar is human language. The human language is not fact of grammar. "

– Wrote 'A tree grows in various parts of its root. Similarly, the language of people living in the vast region of Tibet since Skard in western Amdo in eastern developed from the root of the Tibetan language. However, different words and grammatical endings in the region developed different due to time and distance and become very different people from different regions can not be another day today. "

– It rejects the objection by some scholars writing in the Ladakhi language spoken in Tibetan script. He claims that language and writing are language different and more can be written in the same script. He gave the example of the same Roman script used in English German, French, Danish, Italian and African Swahili.

– He also suggests that religious and philosophical text should remain in the same style and have written thousands of years, but the books are intended to express knowledge and ideas to ordinary people can write in any language is necessary for an easy understanding of readers.

– He concludes his article by saying it only wants to show his idea that the writing language for beginners Ladakhi not hurt anything but will help to develop knowledge, besides being the basis for learning Tibetan too. He added that the best way to spread literacy-Yik in Ladakh is writing Bod newspapers, magazines, and the second class of the school and books for the first time in the language of Ladakh. After 3 and up language standard should move to the classical higher and higher. This method could help students learn easily and without confusion in this way, students can reach a philosophical text and treated in step by step, otherwise it will take much time to learn, or classical language is difficult for even trying to read it.

Conclusion

Before reaching any conclusion on these issues, it is always important to have broader and more inclusive understanding from both sides of the argument. Otherwise there is always a danger of falling into the dark hole of one-sidedness.

One thing is sure that there is no visible ground for students and teacher meet in a focus group and methodology for teaching language Bhoti in the Ladakh region of India in the Himalayas. Ultimately, led to the stalemate of the Bhoti language in this region. Hence the urgent need of the times is to have a more useful debate and discussion among experts student concerned and the region so you can bring on synthesized and appropriate approaches for the regeneration of the language Bhoti situation in the region.

Tibetan Malas

If you think that all Buddhist sects of religion are equal, then you need to think again. Tibetan Buddhism is fundamentally different than Chinese or Buddhism Indian. Each sect of Buddhism has similar theologies, but may differ in the way the lighting is achieved or even what has been achieved enlightenment. For many people in Western cultures who are not familiar with Buddhist practice, the differences can be confusing because there are a lot of them terms used throughout the different sects.

Tibetan Buddhism was initially found in the Tibet region of China. It was brought to this area by princesses Buddhists who married King Gampo. It Gampo who founded the first Buddhist temples in the region, as a way to bring the religion of his wife to his people. But was until the emperor Trisong Detsen in the eighth century that Buddhism became the principle religion of the land. There are four schools of education that this form of Buddhism continues.

The four schools of education are: Nyingma, Kagyu, Sakya and Gelug. Each school works together to bring a person to enlightenment. If not sure what this "enlightenment" is, then you're not alone. In general, it is to achieve inner peace, where wisdom and be free of human suffering is gone.

It is also used to talk about the professionals who have reached a point where they are able to help their peers in defeat suffering. The general breakdown is teaching the steps to be taken for a person to attain enlightenment. Not all Buddhists are able to master the four schools along with other thoughts and rituals that must take place.

So how practitioners of Tibetan Buddhism spread its message to the West? No was not until the People's Republic of China invaded and occupied Tibet in 1959. At this point the religion is mainly secular and isolated in the East.

But with the flight of many Buddhist practice became known to many people in the world. There are several celebrities who are ardent supporters of the liberation of Tibet and are known practitioners of Buddhism. Richard Gere, Steven Seagal and Philip Glass are just some of the people who have taken this philosophy and religion.

The Tibetan Buddhism is impossible to learn? No. As with any new religion that can be embarked on, it takes time to become familiar with all different beliefs and mantras are the backbone of this way of life. It is not something that is accepted sporadically. It's a lifestyle that can lead to greater peace and greater sense of accomplishment.
