Anybody seen the Dalai Lama speak?
A friend of mine is inviting me to an event happening in NYC – apparently the Dalai Lama is coming to speak about the Diamon Sutra for a few weekends.
Having never been to an event like this – i was just wondering if anyone on Yahoo answers has ever been err.. “in class” with the Dalai Lama so to speak. And if so, would you suggest the experience?
Yargh…do i have to put the Caveats on this question too? :sigh:
yes, and i would recommend it.
he tends to target his speeches to the audience at hand. when he speaks to the general public, he is much more general about life. when he gives specific teachings, like a talk on the diamond sutra, he can go into great depth. he’s one of those teachers that gives you the impression that he is talking directly to you.

China to send its People's Liberation Army to protect the Olympic torch in each country?
Tibet is a part of China is no different Beijing as part of China. I am sick of these cowards who are preaching free Tibet when Tibet was under Chinese rule whenever China needs to send their infants to each country of the Olympic torch passes to ensure the protesters did not get out of control. Who French think they are? China could topple the country in 10 hours if they so wished. England same treatment .. Stop Free Tibet protest that warmongering fkwits .. going to do that in China if you are so brave. Here is a quote for you …. China free of the plague in Tibet completely cracking down on them by force. and send the Dalai Lama to be tried for war crimes and threats sovereignty.
I do not think the army should be sent along, although I can not understand why the protesters did not fire for attacking the torch. I completely fed up with the sided reporting on this issue. I'm not a fan of China but is a bit ridiculous to report a headline that says something like "the death of three Tibetan monks "and then mention later in the article that innocent peaceful monks threw stones at police. What Police expect to make?
